Best Sellers: Muted Tones & Pops of Color

September is the gateway to fall and with fashion month officially behind us, we can see everyone had luxury on the brain. Brands such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel dominated last month and leather handbags in muted tones were a top trend. However, a few buyers still opted for some color play. Fall is the perfect time to experiment with neutrals while inserting bursts of color into your ensemble. We love the idea of a fun pop showcased in a luxe handbag. Will you dare to make a color statement this fall? If you’re still cleaning out your closet, pay close attention. This list could be a sign of things to come!

Muted Tones & Pops of Color were the trends for September's Best Sellers.

What Made the List?

Hermes Kelly Sellier 32 Bag: This bag is a coveted staple for fall. Inspired by Grace Kelly, it is the epitome of grace and beauty. Distinctive features include a branded turn-lock closure and a gleaming Palladium leather construction that makes it both stylish and iconic.

Louis Vuitton City Steam MM Tote Bag: The City Steamer MM Tote Bag is marked by its signature gold locket. With its red exterior and black leather trim, it is an exemplary example of how to work in that aforementioned pop of color.

Valentino Rockstud Tote: From the Pre-Fall ’15 collection, this mink fur bag is the definition of cool and fun. With Valentino’s signature rockstud trim, this chic little number will carry you right from fall to winter. Did we mention it has a secret red fur bottom?

Chanel Shopping Tote Bag: Fall is our favorite time to rock neutrals and this is the coolest way to do so. Shown on the Fall ’16 RTW runway, this bag includes a CC push lock closure, a maroon twill interior and an extra-long shoulder strap.

Louis Vuitton Lockit PM Tote Bag: The Lockit PM Tote Bag is fiercely fashionable. It has python trim, four protective bottom feet and two slip pockets for the extra important things. With a timelessly elegant leather construction, it's the ultimate bag to have and to hold.

Chanel Quilted Flap Bag: Known as the chocolate bar, this quilted grey Chanel Flap Bag is oh so delectable. We’ll take this over a sugary confection any day. Shown on the Fall ’14 RTW runway, this dark gray accessory is ultra-cool and modern, and acts as a luxe element that will elevate any look.

Versace Stunned with Supermodels & Other Surprises at Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion week was bold, loud and festive with inspiration stemming from past, present and future. In true Italian fashion, the most talked about shows were Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Prada. With black and white at the forefront of fashion, we were surprised to see green have a major moment on the runway. Accompanied by animal print, the cinched waist and denim also made their presence known. Spring is going to be loud and we absolutely love it.

Cinched waist and black and white are top trends at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Black and white made a bold and graphic statement. The perfect duo to show off intricate details, it was seen on both structured jackets and flowy dresses. And while it is trending for spring, black and white is timeless and can be worn across any season. Are you ready to rock the trend right now?

The Versace show was star studded. Donatella accompanied 80’s and 90’s supermodels Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Helena Christensen down the catwalk in golden gowns. It was an awe-inspiring moment that will go down in fashion history. Other notable moments included Dolce & Gabbana’s Queen of Hearts theme and Gucci's nostalgic throwbacks. Prada took us by surprise by invoking comic book characters. Fashion month is almost over but with one week left we are looking ahead to Paris!

Statement Making Ruffles, Tiny Sunnies and a Bit of Edge: London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week was full of romance, color, and tiny sunnies. Compared to New York, the runways were a bit more feminine due to an abundance of pastels and ruffles. There were lots of trends to talk about, but we managed to narrow it down to just five. This was no easy task, but we went with the most predominant.

Tiny Sunnies and Pastels were Top Trends at Spring 2018 London Fashion Week.

Pastels were everywhere. One of New York Fashion week’s biggest trends was lilac, and London had lilac plus so much more. The most popular pastel was light pink and London’s hues were primarily worn monochromatically. One of our favorites was the amazing Emporio Armani suit pictured above. As it turns out, there are some incredible pastel items at EDO right now! We’re partial to the lilac Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Verseau Shoulder Bag, and if you are looking for a pastel piece for fall, we recommend opting for the Toria Rose Green Mongolian Fur Vest. Planning for spring? The Valentino Yellow Scalloped One Shoulder Sheath Dress is the cutest little number to rock in ‘18.

Tiny Sunnies and Sheer Fabrics were Top Trends at Spring 2018 London Fashion Week.

From head to toe to minute details, fabrics were oh so sheer. We think Ralph & Russo wins in this category at LFW. At EDO, our Alice by Temperley Swiss Dot A-Line Dress is subtly sexy and currently on auction -- you can scoop this trend up right now and save it for spring. The Sacai Black Lace Pleated A-Line Skirt also adds another micro trend we saw on the runways -- a waist defining tie. However, the 3.1 Phillip Lim Black Cotton Lace Overlay Romper is the most wearable of them all. Who doesn’t love a romper you can just throw on?

Tiny Sunnies and Ruffles were Top Trends at Spring 2018 London Fashion Week.

Ruffles were big last season and they’re back for another go. There's no denying this was a big trend in London. From small to large, they were used as an added element on sleeves, skirts and more. No matter what size your ruffles are, they add a punch to any outfit. Would you rock this ultra-feminine trend?

Tiny Sunnies and The White Shirt were Top Trends at Spring 2018 London Fashion Week.

White shirts were commonly used as a layering piece. We saw it underneath feminine dresses, asymmetrical tops and in a surprising turn, tucked into long skirts – this was huge at Daks. It appears the white shirt is the new accessory that can take any look from boring to cool. Who would have ever guessed? Get ready to see white shirts outside of the office this spring. Tiny Sunnies were Top Trends at Spring 2018 London Fashion Week.

Oversized sunnies are out, tiny sunnies are in. These frames were mostly triangular which created a very edgy and dramatic look. The frames were thick and bold, making this trend the newest and most interesting of the bunch. What are your thoughts on tiny sunnies?

Tiny Sunnies and the Tommy Hilfiger Show was big at London Fashion Week Spring 2018.

London Fashion week left us with our heads spinning. Among the feminine undercurrent was some serious edge. Molly Goddard sent her models down the runway with cigarettes and wine glasses. Hussein Chalayan's show commented on our social media culture with models' faces placed in gigantic frames mimicking the iPhone. However, arguably the biggest show of them all was Tommy Hilfiger. This was the first time in twenty years that the brand showed at London Fashion Week. Tommy Hilfiger has spent the last few seasons trying to reinvent what it means to put on a runway show and this season, the “Tommy Now: Rock Circus” showcased Gigi Hadid as the face of the event. The best part? His collection was for Fall 2017 and available for purchase immediately after the show. Next up, Milan!

OMG Moments & Top Trends: What Happened at New York Fashion Week?

Each show at New York Fashion Week had its own attitude, rules and values, which sparked some major OMG moments.  Every designer created their own world on the runway and while each was unique, there were commonalities that linked one show to the next: trends. While we haven’t even fully immersed ourselves in fall, we can’t help but dream of spring. With soft lilacs, head to toe white, stripes, sequins, long dresses and deconstruction spinning through our minds, NYFW week has certainly made it challenging to acclimate to fall. Do we really have to wait an entire season before rocking these trends?

OMG moments and Lilac trend for Spring 2018 New York Fashion week.

This feminine color was so beautiful on the runways and fortunately, it looks good on every skin tone. Breezy, lightweight dresses and suits showcased how ethereal it can be. This might be our go-to come spring.

OMG moments and all white trend for Spring 2018 New York Fashion week.

Head to toe white made a powerful statement at Zimmerman and Baja East. If you’re looking to exude ultimate confidence, this is for you. Nothing screams self-assurance like a monochromatic ensemble. What could be better?

OMG moments and Sequin trend for Spring 2018 New York Fashion week.

Cool girl sequins rocked the runway at NYFW. We loved how Coach paired the trend with a silk bomber jacket, and Oscar de la Renta showed us a thing or two by adding an extra pop to a pink pant suit. Say hello to sequins with an edge.

OMG moments and Stripes trend for Spring 2018 New York Fashion week.

Stripes were BIG and we don’t just mean figuratively. From broad stripes to candy stripes and everything between, NYFW had stripes for every taste. This was a far cry from classic – think colorful and statement making. Stripes are the new neutral.

OMG moments and Deconstruction trend for Spring 2018 New York Fashion week.

Designers manipulated tops this season and really showed what they can do. There were askew shoulders, twisted tops, knotted ties and more -- nothing was safe from reinvention. This brought ordinary garments to an unexpected level.

Midi & Floor Length Dresses trend for Spring 2018 New York Fashion Week.Say goodbye to mini dresses because spring is making way for midis and floor dusters. These easy to wear pieces are amazing and we are all for something so carefree. The easier, the better!

OMG moments and looks from New York Fashion Week Spring 2018.

It wouldn’t be New York Fashion Week without a few OMG moments. Jaws dropped when Tom Ford debuted his new pantless state of mind and more than a few eyebrows were raised as 3.1 Phillip Lim sent sock sandals down the runway (that’s right, a hybrid sock sandal shoe). Marc Jacobs wowed crowds with larger than life fanny packs and Calvin Klein took a more sinister approach with blood splattered leather coats. Will you rock any of these out-of-the-box trends?

OMG moments from the Ralph Lauren and Fenty X Puma Spring 2018 Runway Shows.

There were also a few noteworthy theatrical moments this year. For instance, Marc Jacob’s show had no sound. Other than clapping, a few coughs and the clicking of shoes, models walked down the runway in complete silence – awkward. Ralph Lauren hosted his show in a garage with brightly colored luxury cars as the backdrop, and Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma show featured gigantic mounds of pink sparkly sand accompanied by motorcycle performances. RiRi shocked the audience by coming out on a motorcycle at the end, forgoing the traditional walk down the runway.

Overall, New York Fashion Week did not disappoint with its bold trends and OMG moments. From sweet springy looks to darker themes, there was something for everyone. Now the hard part, waiting for these garments and accessories to hit stores! Until then, we’ll dream of our perfect spring wardrobe. Next up...London Fashion Week!

Best Sellers: A Primary Color Moment

What we noticed for our best sellers this month? There was a major primary color moment happening. Rich blues, bright reds, and canary yellows were the go-to hues for EDO shoppers in August. Something tells us everyone is looking to bridge that gap between summer and fall. No matter the reason, we love the fun color choices!

eDrop-Off's Best Sellers for August are having a primary color moment.

It’s no surprise the amazing Dolce & Gabbana “Pisa” Dress topped our Best Sellers List. Back in May, we showed readers how to have their own runway moment in this gorgeous yellow number. Straight from the Spring/Summer 2016 runway, the iconic new with tags dress made an amazing addition to a very special closet (and we’re a little jealous!).

The next bestselling primary color item was a stunning Céline Mini Luggage Tote. Its sleek construction has the unique ability to be both classic and contemporary. Made in Italy with a spacious interior and adorable top handles, it’s easy to see why this made the list.

Step aside because the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Knot Box Clutch is show stopping! The woven red snakeskin pattern makes it unique while the knotted clasp top adds a special touch. This clutch is like no other out there!

No one does feminine dresses better than Oscar de la Renta and this Resort 2016 dress proves just that! The gorgeous silk garment was designed to celebrate the spirit of Punta Cana. Its bodice is intricately beaded and the skirt boasts dramatic printed abstract flowers. Doesn’t it make you want to throw on a sun hat, some red lipstick and dance through the Dominican Republic?

A quilted Chanel Flap Bag is like an LBD – it never goes out of style! This bag works for every occasion and will always stand the test of time. The navy blue color of this Spring 2016 style gives it an unexpected contemporary edge that we are still crushing on. Is blue the new black?

The last item on August’s primary color best sellers list is the Louis Vuitton Savane Tiger Zippy Wallet. As part of a limited edition project, the tiger was Illustrated by the extremely talented Chapman Brothers. Jake and Dinos Chapman collaborated with Louis Vuitton to draw giraffes, elephants, tigers and other playful designs specifically for the brand. The tiger showcased against the classic LV monogram creates a cool contrast of history and modernity that we adore. Do you love this collaboration as much as we do?

With primary colors on the minds of shoppers last month, what will September bring? Maybe your items will make the list!

What to Try in September: Liquid Silver, Magnetic Eyelashes, Giving Back & More!

September is half over which means the last day of summer and first day of fall are right around the corner. It is that time of the year when most aren’t ready for summer to go but are also looking forward to wearing fall layers. Contradictory feelings about the month aside, it’s time to embrace all that September offers. In the fashion realm, flowy fabrics in liquid silver reign supreme. For boot trends, it’s all about floral jacquard. September is also the perfect month to do a little good in the name of fashion which is why we found a killer graphic tee with a powerful message that gives back. What could be better? On the beauty front, we had to address the most buzzed about lash trend – magnetic eyelashes. We know it sounds crazy, but we hear they really work. And it wouldn’t be fall without including something delicious – there is an amazing new restaurant in town with a very decadent focus. Check it out below to see what five things you need to try this month!Lifestyle post sharing five things to try in the month of September including liquid silver clothing, magnetic eyelashes, floral jacquard boots, Milly charity t-shirt, and restaurant Heritage in Chicago.

Logos & Luxe Metallics

We’ve rounded up the best (and most luxe) sellers for July! We noticed one predominant trend: logos are cool again. Elle Singapore even describes the phenomena as “Logomania”, while Vogue Arabia takes it a step further and shows us how designer labels are now adding a visual twist to classic logos in the article “How the Statement Logo Bag Made a Cool Comeback”.

Best sellers this month feature logos and luxe metallics.

First up within this emblem heavy trend is the Chanel light pink mini shopping tote. It has a raised pebbled leather ‘CC’ logo with white embroidery stitching. This is an ultra-feminine Chanel bag that we don’t see too often. It’s no wonder it was snatched up by one of our savvy EDO buyers! Maybe she’s sporting it to Sunday brunch this weekend?!

Orange you glad it’s Gucci? This vibrant polished leather bag is perfect for this summer. The featured silver interlocking ‘GG’ hardware and a silver chain-link shoulder strap scream warm weather. The best part? Someone purchased this chic bag in brand new condition for a fraction of the price (smart shopper).

Fuchsia YSL?! Well that is a statement. This elegantly smooth leather clutch was crafted in Italy and is such a beautiful bag to carry with any outfit. The gold ‘Y’ logo functions as a magnetic closure and adds a sleek linear element to this slim horizontal bag. We love it!

Logos weren’t the only thing that were heavily purchased this month. Luxe metallics also had a major moment. Whether it be silver, gold or bronze, we don’t think metallics will ever go out of style. They add instant glamour to any outfit…and everybody needs a little glamour in their life!

The Chanel flap bag is a showstopper, especially in gold. With a classic chainlink woven handle and detachable top strap, this bag can be worn two ways. And who doesn’t like having options?

Gentlemen! We did not forget about you. Givenchy Calf Leather black oxfords were another major seller this month and we can totally see why!

And since our promotion is winding down this month (pun intended) don’t forget you can earn an extra 5% commission on all handbags and watches consigned in August. This Cartier watch gives you an idea of what you could earn on something similar. Act now so you don’t run out of time!

Whether you love logos or opt for luxe metallics, you know where to buy and sell affordable luxury. Fashion should always be fun -- happy shopping!

Maximalism: Clothes That Start The Conversation for You

Minimalism has been all the rage for the last few years, so it is refreshing to see fashion do a complete 180 and go in the other direction. Say hello to Maximalism. More is better anyway, right? Maximalism isn’t about piling on everything you own, look to the cool girl maximalists for inspiration. Think Leandra Medine from Man Repeller or even the brilliant and glamorous Iris Apfel. These maximalist ladies remind us that fashion should always be fun! Who doesn’t want playful pieces that do double duty as conversation starters?!

Forget you even know the word minimalism -- fashion has been anything but minimal lately. With brands like Gucci, Prada, Valentino, and Louis Vuitton pushing the envelope, you can count on seeing punchy details in their recent collections. We’ve handpicked a few of our favorite pieces worthy of starting a conversation, and believe me, we’ve got plenty more where this came from.

Perhaps you’d like a Celine bag constructed from multicolor suede and crafted in Italy? This stylish bag features a punched puzzle design with studded detailing. Going for something even more dramatic? The MCM ‘Munic Lion’ backpack is crafted from monogram leather and features pointy studs and an eye-catching holographic strip along the front. You can also opt to upgrade your sunshine game with Fendi’s clear and blue cateye frames. Don’t forget, the sun never sets on a Fendi fashionista!

All eyes will be on you (literally) when you rock Kenzo’s black and white eye print sweatshirt. Or perhaps a Chanel chainlink necklace is more your style? After all, it’s the epitome of elegance.
