Best Sellers: Everyone Needs A Little Edge

As the season gets colder, our wardrobes get darker! Fall appropriate pieces were our best selling items last month and everyone was looking to outfit their closets with a little edge. This was showcased predominately with black leather. Why do we love this style? It can look cool, expensive and fashion forward. Additionally, black never goes out of style. Combine the two and you’ve got a winning combination that exudes luxury. Shoppers embraced this trend in the form of killer bags and warm jackets and coats. Let's look at which items sold for the most in October!

eDrop-Off's best selling items for October had a little edge with black leather at the forefront of the trend.

The Saint Laurent Sac De Jour Bag is a signature style for the brand. Made with crocodile embossed leather and nickel hardware, it’s beautifully crafted. We love its square body too.

The Chrome Hearts Moto Jacket is fully lined with premium soft shearling. This brand is known for its rock n’ roll aesthetic and in the past they've collaborated with The Rolling Stones, Comme des Garçons and Rick Owens. This moto jacket is both parts practical and fashionable.

Nothing is more timeless than a Céline Wool Coat. Made in Italy, this classic piece of outerwear is sure to last for many seasons to come.

Traveling in style is always better with a Chanel Duffle Bag. Crafted with signature quilted leather, it’s perfect to take on vacation with its roomy interior and detachable strap.

Valentino stuns with this Black Leather Tote. It’s pyramid studs add edge to its buttery soft exterior. We also love the pop of gold!

Lastly, The Louis Vuitton Sport Dora Souple BB Bag is so dynamic! It has multicolor stripes with black sides and handles. This handbag first debuted during Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2015 runway show and it will go down in history as one of Nicholas Ghesquiere’s first creations for the brand.

Will you rock a little edge this fall season?

As Seen On: The Louis Vuitton Alma Tote Celebrities Love

Celebrities love their Louis Vuitton handbags. Why? The iconic brand has been around since 1854 and continues to preserve timeless styles while simultaneously reinventing new ones. It's no surprise that the label is currently one of the world's top international fashion houses. If there was ever a good time to invest in a Louis Vuitton bag, it's now! We happen to have a gorgeous Louis Vuitton Alma Handbag for sale right now and it is quite popular among the stars.

This perfectly structured Alma Tote was created by Gaston-Louis Vuitton in 1930 as a custom order for Coco Chanel. The handbag’s original name was ‘Champs of Elysees’ after the famous road in Paris. Later, it was renamed ‘Alma’ after the Alma Bridge (which connects two fashionable neighborhoods). We adore this Parisian tote because of its timeless style and we know it will continue to be adored for decades. Besides being a classic, this Alma handbag comes in a romantic fuchsia Epi leather that is sure to be remembered for its bold presence. Celebrities like Daria Strokous, Naomi Watts and Chiara Ferragni love this purse.

Daria Strokous collaborated with photographer Steven Klein to promote the Alma bag for Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2013 campaign. Seen in another striking hue, Daria shows how a colorful Alma Tote works as a statement piece with any outfit. Naomi Watts adores the accessory and wears it with a light coat in cooler temps. Arguably the most famous fashion blogger today, Chiara Ferragni sports the handbag with leather shorts, a casual t-shirt and fun heels.

Trend Report: Fashion Cues from Iconic Characters

Halloween has a funny way of showing us the biggest pop culture trends of the year. The high earning box office movies, OMG celebrity moments and political scandals are exaggerated for scares and laughs on this eccentrically fun holiday. So, what pop culture costumes do we think are going to be big this year? We predict Wonder Woman, Khaleesi from Game of Thrones and This Is Us characters, Jack and Rebecca. We can take some serious fashion cues from these iconic characters!

Fashion cues from iconic characters including Wonder Woman.

Take some fashion advice from the most powerful woman (and film) of the year! Wonder Woman says bigger is always better and everything should be gilded. This Chanel Gold belt screams superhero! We also love this gold and black Chanel bag paired with an eye-catching Nina Ricci coat. Go bold and go gold! Lastly, Wonder Woman’s signature red and blue combo is the ultimate symbol of heroism and bravery. We recommend empowering yourself in these red strappy Paul Andrew sandals!

Fashion cues from iconic characters including Khaleesi from Game of Thrones.

Khaleesi’s style is powerful and ethereal. The mother of dragons often wears breezy fabrics and sports a defined waist. This Christian Siriano dress provides a modern take on her feminine look. Having the right color scheme is also key to nailing this Game of Thrones’ character. Pretty pastels are her signature palette! Try a Louis Vuitton or Tom Ford handbag to soften up any style. Khaleesi wouldn’t be caught anywhere without bold jewelry. We adore this gorgeous crystal Gucci necklace and think it feels completely royal.

Fashion cues from iconic characters including Jack and Rebecca from This Is Us.

Young Jack and Rebecca’s love story is so captivating that we can’t help but crush on their laid back 80’s style. For starters, they love denim! Jack often sports a denim jacket and Rebecca a denim skirt. Replicate this look with a Natasha Zinko dress -- it’s perhaps the coolest denim frock we’ve ever seen and we can’t get enough of the lace up detail! Tiny prints are also seen throughout their wardrobe – think stripes and plaid. Rock this Osman Floral Print Dress or this adorable Louis Vuitton Print Brief Bag. Your look won’t be complete without earthy toned neutrals and we recommend Brunello Cucinelli wedges or a trench coat from The Row.

Will you be taking cues from this year’s iconic movie and TV characters?

What To Wear: Halloween Chic

Who says you can’t look chic and festive on Halloween? Getting dressed up in a costume for the holiday can be super fun, but sometimes it can take a lot of time and effort. This year, Halloween is on a Tuesday which means most of us will be participating in our normal schedules. Why not show some holiday spirit in a chic and functional way? Besides, these are cool one-of-a-kind pieces you can wear long after Halloween is over.

Nothing screams Halloween like a structured black hat! The Saint Laurent Wide Brim Hat works for the holiday and on a normal sunny afternoon. Adding this piece to any outfit shows off your sartorial skills. Looking for something not so obvious? This orange Proenza Schouler Shoulder Bag adds a bright pop of color that is guaranteed to make a statement. Pair it with a black 3.1 Phillip Lim romper or a black Valentino skirt for the ultimate combo. The best part? This skirt comes in multiple sizes! Other simple additions that allow you to achieve a Halloween Chic look include Chanel Sunglasses, a Balenciaga Satchel Bag and Chanel Espadrilles. Lastly, this festive burnt orange Apiece Apart Coat is gorgeous. Are you going Halloween Chic for the holiday?

As Seen On: Karlie Kloss, Cameron Diaz, Olivia Palermo & More!

As the leaves begin to fall we can’t help but think about the things we need for the new season. There are a few fall essentials we believe everyone should have, like a warm jacket for declining temps, an easy to wear tote and killer boots to keep your toes warm. When planning your fall/winter wardrobe, we recommend taking a little inspiration from photo shoots, celebrity street style and the runway. With this influential triple threat, you can’t go wrong.

As-Seen-On--10-12-17 Karlie Kloss

If Karlie Kloss and Vogue love a fur anorak jacket, we do too. David Sims photographed the model in a spread for Vogue which showcased several ways to style this ultra-cool piece. Create a similar outfit to Karlie’s with the MSGM Fox Fur Anorak Jacket. After all, nothing says style and function like a utility inspired coat with fox fur trim to keep you extra warm. The neutral color palette of muted green, stone gray and hints of tan make it perfect for fall.

Take a cue from celebrities Lily Aldridge, Cameron Diaz, and Olivia Palermo, and invest in a leather camel handbag. The Henry Cuir Blue Jeans Tote Bag can be styled in a variety of ways and you can bring it anywhere. Need another reason to love this purse? It is roomy enough to carry everything you could possibly need! Plus, we love the top stitching details and the little beads that provide a hint of color.

Nothing says autumn like a stylish pair of over the knee boots! This trend was evident on the Fall 2017 runways with designers like Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci and Fendi sending the elongated boot down the catwalk. This style allows you to wear your mini dress in cooler temps while still keeping your legs extra warm. The Saint Laurent Over the Knee Boots lace up so you can create a custom fit. The chunky heel is just high enough to add some extra inches to your stature without killing your feet.

Unexpected & Stunning: What Silhouettes & Trends Won Paris Fashion Week?

The style savvy elite flocked to Paris for the last fashion week of the season! French designers brought their A game with runway looks we are eager to wear now. The Chanel, Balenciaga and Celine shows were the highlight of Paris Fashion Week. The top trends? Both neutral and bright colors played key roles on the runways. We also saw patterns making a graphic impact and plaid and checks were at almost every show. Designers also reinvented silhouettes with unexpected asymmetrical cuts.

Bright Accents and an Asymmetrical Silhouette were top trends for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2018.

With the addition of bright trim and eye-popping accessories, Paris was full of punchy accents. Footwear was seen in an array of brilliant colors. This attention-grabbing trend is easy to replicate with the right garment or accessories.

Neutrals and an Asymmetrical Silhouette were top trends for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2018.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, neutrals garnered attention. Shown monochromatically, luxe creams, tans, whites and earthy greys made a bold statement. Dynamic silhouettes, stunning fabrics and subtle prints elevated neutral colors that can otherwise be perceived as boring. This showcased that simplicity is remarkable and doesn’t go unnoticed.

A Graphic Impact and an Asymmetrical Silhouette were top trends for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Dynamic graphic prints made a bold impact. Large prints showcased contrasting patterns and colors for the ultimate punch. Céline and Louis Vuitton made the look a little more feminine with the addition of flowy fabrics and ruffle accents.

Checks, Plaid, and an Asymmetrical Silhouette were top trends for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Seen in varying sizes, checks and plaids were showcased on many runways. For instance, Hermes embraced plaid and Chanel showcased these patterns with a heavy punch of color. We love how this fall focused pattern is being used for spring.

Asymmetrical Silhouettes were a top trend at Paris Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Parisian runways declared symmetry as boring and used dynamic cuts to create asymmetrical silhouettes. This was most apparent in one shoulder dresses and uneven hems. Will you rock an asymmetrical ensemble?

Céline's Bubble Tent and an Asymmetrical Silhouette were major moments at Paris Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Chanel and Balenciaga brought a revolutionary new idea to the runway: handbag overcoats and poncho parachutes. The intention? To protect handbags in an ultra-high fashion way. To continue this new trend, Chanel also showcased see through accessories. We’re sensing the entire show may have been inspired by inclement weather. At Celine, things stayed sudsy. The show took place inside a bubble tent where the audience was enclosed to make them feel like they were part of the runway. It was a fun way to create an intimate experience.

We’re sad to see the end of fashion month but are so excited about all the trends that are hitting stores come Spring ’18. These styles have inspired us to take a few more fashion risks and take our ensembles to the next level. Which trends are you going to try?

5 Things to Try in October: Donate Blood, Head to Toe Leather & Beatnik Chicago

Fall is flying by and that means it's time to get serious about your fall wardrobe. Boots and lightweight jackets should officially be part of your regular rotation. And while there is a ton of amazing runway inspiration to choose from, our favorite trend of the season is leather (it's so hard not to love it!). Leather is so versatile and with vegan leather on the rise, it has become animal friendly too. Will you rock head to toe leather this fall? We believe in kindness to all creatures and there is no better way to support those in need than by giving blood. This free act of kindness literally saves lives and in the wake of the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, it is important to remember to do a little more for mankind. Donate blood, love your neighbor and always remember kindness is contagious.

On that same note, I'm sure we've all been hugging our loved ones a little tighter and there is nothing more important than celebrating the love we have. We suggest grabbing your bestie (or significant other) and heading to Beatnik, Chicago's newest hotspot. This bohemian themed restaurant has an eclectic menu, killer cocktails and fabulous digs that will make you swoon. When you go, put some sparkle in your step! Glitter boots are taking over this fall and we are totally on board with this shiny new trend. A little sparkle makes everything more exciting! On October 9th, you can cheer on a different type of shoe because the Chicago Marathon kicks off and sneaker clad runners appreciate any extra encouragement you can give. We recommend hosting a sign making party the night before because, why not? Spread a little cheer (you know, the pre-Christmas kind!).

Five things you should try in October 2017 are wear leather, donate blood, eat at Beatnik, wear sparkle boots, and cheer on runners at the Chicago Marathon.

Best Sellers: Muted Tones & Pops of Color

September is the gateway to fall and with fashion month officially behind us, we can see everyone had luxury on the brain. Brands such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel dominated last month and leather handbags in muted tones were a top trend. However, a few buyers still opted for some color play. Fall is the perfect time to experiment with neutrals while inserting bursts of color into your ensemble. We love the idea of a fun pop showcased in a luxe handbag. Will you dare to make a color statement this fall? If you’re still cleaning out your closet, pay close attention. This list could be a sign of things to come!

Muted Tones & Pops of Color were the trends for September's Best Sellers.

What Made the List?

Hermes Kelly Sellier 32 Bag: This bag is a coveted staple for fall. Inspired by Grace Kelly, it is the epitome of grace and beauty. Distinctive features include a branded turn-lock closure and a gleaming Palladium leather construction that makes it both stylish and iconic.

Louis Vuitton City Steam MM Tote Bag: The City Steamer MM Tote Bag is marked by its signature gold locket. With its red exterior and black leather trim, it is an exemplary example of how to work in that aforementioned pop of color.

Valentino Rockstud Tote: From the Pre-Fall ’15 collection, this mink fur bag is the definition of cool and fun. With Valentino’s signature rockstud trim, this chic little number will carry you right from fall to winter. Did we mention it has a secret red fur bottom?

Chanel Shopping Tote Bag: Fall is our favorite time to rock neutrals and this is the coolest way to do so. Shown on the Fall ’16 RTW runway, this bag includes a CC push lock closure, a maroon twill interior and an extra-long shoulder strap.

Louis Vuitton Lockit PM Tote Bag: The Lockit PM Tote Bag is fiercely fashionable. It has python trim, four protective bottom feet and two slip pockets for the extra important things. With a timelessly elegant leather construction, it's the ultimate bag to have and to hold.

Chanel Quilted Flap Bag: Known as the chocolate bar, this quilted grey Chanel Flap Bag is oh so delectable. We’ll take this over a sugary confection any day. Shown on the Fall ’14 RTW runway, this dark gray accessory is ultra-cool and modern, and acts as a luxe element that will elevate any look.

Versace Stunned with Supermodels & Other Surprises at Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion week was bold, loud and festive with inspiration stemming from past, present and future. In true Italian fashion, the most talked about shows were Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Prada. With black and white at the forefront of fashion, we were surprised to see green have a major moment on the runway. Accompanied by animal print, the cinched waist and denim also made their presence known. Spring is going to be loud and we absolutely love it.

Cinched waist and black and white are top trends at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Black and white made a bold and graphic statement. The perfect duo to show off intricate details, it was seen on both structured jackets and flowy dresses. And while it is trending for spring, black and white is timeless and can be worn across any season. Are you ready to rock the trend right now?

The it color on Italian runways made us green with envy. This unexpected hue for Spring 2018 came in varying shades. From solids to mixed prints, you can wear it anyway you like.

Animal print painted the runways in a totally new way. It melded with patterns and worked as the perfect accent on handbags and jackets. Designers used the varying prints to act as a unique focal point to help shape the silhouette of the garment.

Cinched waist and denim are top trends at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018.

Denim was used almost everywhere! This season, forget denim jeans because Stella Jean created the most amazing denim jumpsuit and Versace showcased the fabric on belted skirts. We also love denim pumps for spring, how can you resist?

A Cinched waist is a top trends at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018.

In true Italian style, baggy clothes were a no go on runways. Instead, designers opted for the cinched waist which created an ultra-feminine feel. Will you wear a cinched waist this spring?

A Cinched Waist and Versace Model Reunion at Milan Fashion Week Spring 2018.

The Versace show was star studded. Donatella accompanied 80’s and 90’s supermodels Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Helena Christensen down the catwalk in golden gowns. It was an awe-inspiring moment that will go down in fashion history. Other notable moments included Dolce & Gabbana’s Queen of Hearts theme and Gucci's nostalgic throwbacks. Prada took us by surprise by invoking comic book characters. Fashion month is almost over but with one week left we are looking ahead to Paris!
